The document that almost ruined our trip
Three days before a family holiday, we discovered my son's passport had less than six months of validity left. The airline wouldn't let him board. We'd booked the flights months ago — the passport had been sitting in a drawer the whole time.
That moment is why DocuTrackr Family exists.
What it does
DocuTrackr Family is a document vault built for households. You store your passports, visas, driving licences, insurance cards, and anything else that expires — and it tells you before they do.
Expiry alerts at 90, 60, 30, and 7 days. You get a notification at each milestone, so you're never caught off guard by a renewal that takes 6 weeks.
The 6-month passport rule. Many countries — and most airlines — require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date. DocuTrackr cross-references your passport expiry against your upcoming flights and warns you if you'll be turned away at the gate.
On-device OCR. Scan a document with your camera and the app reads the dates automatically. The text recognition runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly — your document never leaves your device, never touches a server.
Household sharing. Add up to 10 family members. See everyone's document status in one place. Know that your whole household is covered, not just you.
Peace of Mind Score. A single number from 0 to 100 that tells you how your family's documents are doing right now. Green means you're clear. Amber means something needs attention. Red means act today.
Who it's for
DocuTrackr Family is for anyone who has ever:
- Renewed a passport in a panic the week before travel
- Let car insurance lapse without realising
- Discovered a family member's visa expired only when they needed it
- Tried to track multiple people's documents in a shared Notes app
If you're the person in your household who manages "the important stuff" — this is for you.
